In the book Night by Elie Wisel, the Jewish people are forced and taken from their homes. They are put in group camps, stripped of their own name and instead, assigned a number. They are beaten, get little food, and forced to do long hours of work. Often, they are promised escape and hope but never see it through. Young children and woman are instantly killed because they are seen as weak. Those who are choosen to survive live their lives in constant fear and struggle. Just like in the book Night, the victims of human trafficking face the same problems. They are kidnapped, tricked or forced into brothels where they lose their names and instead are called by numbers. These victims, will be raped and beaten many times in one night. They face starvation and have no personal freedoms or rights. The victims in the book and the victims in human trafficking, both are taken from their families and don't even get to say goodbye. They both work long hours, recieve no pay and are abused if they disobey. They watch people around them struggle and die. These vicitims are forced to sleep in unfavorable conditons and forced to take drugs. They recive little to none health care or any kind of personal benefits.
